Departure
We meet up in Saint Just d’ Ardèche at 8.00am for a departure at 8.30 to 9.00am.
Arrival
Arrival at Sauze (2km from Saint Just d’ Ardèche).
A driver will arrive to collect you at 3.00pm and bring you back immediately to your vehicle in our private car park, where a comforting cold drink and hot shower await you.
What you need to bring with you for the outing
- Picnic.
- Drinks (at least 1.5l of water per person).
- A bin bag.
- Cap, sun cream and closed water shoes.
- Depending on the season, warm clothes and a change of clothes (cool mornings).
Maxi Descent 32 km
- From Vallon Pont d’Arc to Sauze: glide down the whole Canyon and see the Pont d’Arc and the Ardèche River Gorges Nature Reserve.
- The Gorges are impressive but it is advisable to be fit for this descent, as, depending on the water level, you have to paddle for 6 or 7 hours.

Time spent paddling: approximately 6 hours.The bivouac trip lets you assimilate the wild beauty, the surroundings and the spirit which reign on the river in the nature reserve.
If you decide to make a 2-day descent through the Ardèche River Gorges Nature Reserve, you must spend the night in one of the two authorized bivouac areas.
These areas are privileged places to stay in the heart of nature. Please respect their silence and peace.
Regularly, free talks on the natural heritage, the geology and the history of the Ardèche river Gorges are proposed.

Mini Descent 8 km
- Explore the Ardèche and discover canoeing and kayaking from Vallon Pont d’Arc to Châmes, and go under the natural stone Pont d’Arc.
- Accessible to all, the Mini Descent takes half a day which leaves time for picnicking and swimming around the Pont d’Arc.
